Margaret (Meg) Currie
soprano

One of the newest and youngest members, Meg Currie is a third-year microbiology student at Dalhousie University, and joined the Camerata Singers in 2019. Coming from a musical family and having matched pitch before she could talk, Meg has been an active member of the Canadian choral community for more than 10 years. Her choral highlights include the Nova Scotia Youth Choir (2016-2019), the Ellison Canadian Honour Choir (2019), Xara Choral Theatre’s 2019 production of Rings Through Water, and the National Youth Choir of Canada (2018).

Meg’s time not spent at school or in rehearsal is spent as a healthcare researcher at the QEII Hospital, where she studies the prevention and treatment of sudden cardiac arrest. She also touts her wares as a singer for weddings, funerals, and special events. To her, the Camerata family is one that will remain near and dear to her heart for many years to come!
