Kennedy Pye
Frieda, The Mouse Queen

Kennedy is a grade 10 French Immersion student in HRM. Her love for dance began at the age of 3 when she started taking ballet class. She is a dancer with East Coast Dance Academy under the Artistic direction of Andrea LeBlanc, and is also a member of Halifax Dance 2023 Young Company.

Kennedy currently trains in multiple dance styles, such as ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, and hip hop with a special love for ballet. She studies under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus, and has successfully completed her Intermediate RAD exam. She is currently training towards Advanced Foundation. Kennedy is also a competitive dancer, participating in various dance competitions throughout the year. She has won multiple awards, top marks, and scholarships both as a group member as well as a soloist.  

Kennedy was a dancer in Halifax Dance and Symphony Nova Scotia's 2022 production of The Nutcracker. She was also a local participant with Ballet Jörgen (Jörgen Dance) in the Anne of Green Gables: The Ballet production in 2020.  

What Kennedy enjoys most about dance is the performance and takes pleasure in sharing her love of dance with others!
