Giovanna Lamboglia

Giovanna Lamboglia began her training in Brazil at nine years old and moved to Rio de Janeiro to attend the Maria Olenewa State Dance School (Municipal Ballet of Rio de Janeiro affiliated School), based on Vaganova Methodology. She graduated in 2014 and performed with the Company in Coppelia and Nutcracker productions. She was awarded First Place and Best Dancer in National competitions. She has competed in and placed in numerous International Competitions including American Dance Competition 2015, US (Top 15 with Variation and Highest Score with Pas Deux); 7th Helsinki International Ballet Competition 2012, Finland; Youth America Grand Prix NYC Finals 2013, US; Silver Medal at the International Dance Seminar In Brasilia, 2011, Brazil. 

She was a guest artist for the Albany Berkshire Ballet in a tour production of The Nutcracker, dancing the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Dewdrop in the years of 2013 and 2017. In 2015, she got a soloist contract to dance with Ballets de France in Toulouse, France. She moved to Canada in 2016 to be a Soloist Dancer with Canada's Ballet Jörgen. In Toronto, she also had the pleasure to work with Evelyn Hart in her own group and with teachers and choreographers of the National Ballet of Canada. Her repertoire there includes Stars and Stripes, Four Temperaments, and Kynesis XIII. Giovanna secured a scholarship to complete her American Ballet Theatre National Teaching Curriculum provided by YUMIKO Dancewear and has since been teaching in Canada, Brazil, and England, and leading international masterclasses for students across the world, from France to India. Giovanna is now based in London where she is a freelance dancer and teacher. She holds a degree for Cultural Production and is also a founder of Dance Connections Agency where she helps dancers to achieve their dreams in the dance industry. She has been a guest artist performing the role of Clara since 2018 with Symphony Nova Scotia.
