Alexa Cherrett
Rehearsal Director

Originally from Ottawa, Alexa Cherrett danced as a member of the Professional Ballet Program at The School of Dance under Merilee Hodgins and Mary Ross. Alexa is a graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School’s three-year Teacher Training Program and a Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance. She is also a graduate of Saint Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Arts and currently working towards her Bachelor of Education at Mount Saint Vincent University. She began her career as a ballet teacher in Toronto until she settled in Halifax, where she has been a faculty member of the Maritime Conservatory, Halifax Dance, and Stars of Tomorrow. Alexa loves the Nova Scotian dance community and feels honoured to be a part of this longstanding production.
