Maya Simmons (she/her) is a performing artist from Atlanta, GA, where she attended Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts. Maya is currently a student at Elon University as a Dance Performance/Choreography and English double major. During her time at Elon, she has had the opportunity to perform in many mainstage performances for choreographers such as Keshia Wall, Jennifer Guy Metcalf, Ming-Lung, Brianna Forbes, and Lauren Kearns. While studying abroad in Italy in 2022, she performed in the Florence Dance Festival. Along with performing, Maya enjoys choreography and was selected to present her work in the Elon Fall Dance Concert. She looks forward to presenting a new choreographic project in a site-specific concert in October.
