Clara Kennedy (she/they) is a current student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro pursuing a BFA with full honors in dance with a concentration in performance and choreography, and a minor in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies. Clara has trained and worked in several illustrious spaces, including Barriskill Dance Theatre School (primary mentors Mari O'Donnell and Kristen Clotfelter), the Greensboro Dance Film Festival, the Alvin Ailey summer intensive, Ronald K. Brown dance intensive, the American Dance Festival’s pre-professional and SDI program, the University of North Carolina School of the Arts contemporary dance intensive, and the B-12 Summer program. She’s a growing interdisciplinary artist whose work has been sent to ACDA’s National Dance Festival in Long Beach, California. She is working towards a certification in Safety-Release technique with primary mentor B.J. Sullivan and is predicted to attend Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in 2024.
