Moriah Jackson started her training in Virginia Beach at Salem’s Visual and Performing Arts Academy. She is currently studying at Virginia Commonwealth University working towards her BFA in Dance and Choreography. She has primarily trained in modern and ballet techniques but has also practiced contemporary, West African, and musical theater. She has been a part of several creative processes as well as creating several works herself throughout her time at VCU. She has worked with and studied under Starr Foster, Robbie Kinter, Trebien Pollard, Scott Putman, and Judith Steel. She has attended festivals and intensives such as Dance The World NY, American College Dance Association, and American Dance Festival. She has also taken master classes from Pilobolus, Kyle Marshall, and the cast of The Lion King on Broadway.
