Maylis Arrabit is a French disabled dance artist. She took her first dance class in 2011 with AXIS dance company in Oakland, CA. She has trained mostly in contemporary dance and contact improvisation, taking mainstream dance classes. She has enriched her knowledge of inclusive practice by taking workshops with Adam Benjamin, Jordi Cortes, and more regularly with Stopgap dance company. In 2017, Maylis chose to focus on dance as a career. She's been dancing for different project-based dance companies and created her first choreographic project, a duet for disabled and non-disabled men, Habrá Que Ponerse Cachas. This duet was selected for Edinburgh's Fringe Festival in 2019, as part of the Basque showcase at Dance Base.
