Analisa Palla

Analisa Palla is from Boston, MA. She is a senior at Keene State College double majoring in Dance with a Choreography and Performance specialization and Business Management. She studies and trains primarily from the head of the department and her biggest inspiration, Cynthia McLaughlin. In this most recent school year, Analisa had the opportunity to be a student in Cynthia's course Research In Choreography. Within the class, she learned the fundamentals of creating work while simultaneously holding rehearsals to create a student-choreographed piece for the Choreography Showcase in the winter. Analisa's work and another were chosen to perform at the American Collegiate Dance Association showcase at Montclair State University in March. There, she had the opportunity to share her work with a new audience and judges, call her lighting cues, and be a part of the cast in the other piece that was taken. Additionally, during the Spring semester, Tatiana Desardouin was in residency as a guest artist for the Spring show, Evening of Dance. As a cast member in her piece D-Box, Analisa was instantly inspired by Tatiana's passion for House and the challenge, fun, and adrenaline it provided. Hip Hop has always been Analisa's favorite style growing up but learning the vocabulary and the culture behind House and old-school Hip Hop almost felt like speaking a different language. Having the opportunity to work with Tatiana again for the Footprints piece, House has quickly become a monumental part of Analisa's dance lineage.
