Abby Kim
Performer

Abby Kim is pursuing a BFA in dance performance and a BA in English at Southern Methodist University and is about to enter her second year as an honors student. She was trained in classical, commercial, and concert techniques as an interdisciplinary artist. Throughout her dance journey, she's performed in repertory such as the solo role of "adolescent love" in Leslie Hale's restaging of Martha Graham's Diversion of Angels. She's also portrayed lead roles in original works such as Scott Conway's ballet Lepidoptera, which was featured on live television, and Summer's and Treneman's Chains Take, which won top 24 at the Youth American Grand Prix International Finals. At SMU, she performed in the women's basketball team's Hip-hop halftime show and two featured roles in the Meadows Spring Dance Concert. Abby hopes to join a professional concert company and continue choreographing in the future.
