Winner of multiple awards including First Prize of the 2008 Naumburg International Competition, the Washington International and Irving M. Klein International String competitions, David Requiro also captured top prize at the Gaspar Cassadó International Competition in Japan, coupled with the prize for the best performances of works by Cassadó. Requiro has appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras as well as performed in recitals across North America. He has collaborated with many contemporary composers including Krzysztof Penderecki and Bright Sheng as well as performing with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Seattle Chamber Music Society, and a founding member of the Baumer String Quartet.
