Multi-instrumentalist, stepdancer and host of the TradCafe podcast, Neil Pearlman is a vital and distinctive voice in contemporary traditional music. Described as “a tremendous pianist” on BBC Radio Scotland's Travelling Folk and “a force to be reckoned with” by WGBH’s Brian O’Donovan, Neil is recognized in the Celtic music world for his unique approach to the piano. Rooted in traditional Cape Breton piano styles, he draws inspiration from jazz harmony and the syncopations of funk and Latin dance music to create a signature sound. His dynamic yet sensitive accompaniment has made him a sought after collaborator and he has performed, recorded and taught alongside many of the best musicians in Celtic music across the US, Canada, Scotland, Spain and Mexico. Current projects include collaborations with fiddlers Kevin Henderson and Katie McNally and ongoing releases of his own music through TradCafe Records (tradcafe.org). https://neilpearlman.com/ https://linktr.ee/neilpearlman
