Born in Latvia, Madara Pētersone graduated from Jazeps Vitols Latvian Music Academy (JVLMA) in 2013 and is currently studying for Master’s degree in Royal Danish Academy of Music. M. Pētersone is a laurate of several Latvian and international competitions. She won First prize in JVLMA’s “Best Student Ensemble” in 2011.

The violonist had an honour to play solo with pianist Reinis Zarins and the Vidzemes chamber orchestra as well as to perform solo in Euroradio’s Europe Young Musicians Day, Berlin Literaturfestival and some others. M. Petersone has also performed with the Danish String Quartet and performed with Gidon Kremer in numerous seasons. Madara is a member of Kremerata Baltica since 2002.
