Greater Richmond Children’s Choir

Now in its 28th season, the Greater Richmond Children’s Choir (GRCC) has performed on four continents and in dozens of languages, earning acclaim for its excellence and diversity. Led by Artistic Director Crystal Jonkman and Associate Director Roshan Chakane, GRCC welcomes boys and girls ages 8 to 18, fostering musical growth through high-quality choral education and performance. Supported by generous community contributions, GRCC offers tuition and travel scholarships to over one-third of its members, ensuring accessibility for all. Beginner and advanced choristers alike are welcome to join. Established by VCU in 1997, GRCC became an independent nonprofit in 2005 and rehearses at Grace & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
