Alena has been in the South Dakota Youth Symphony Orchestra for the past 8 years. Bunkers started in Prelude Strings and now is in the Youth Orchestra. Bunkers has played viola for over 9 years and finds immense joy in doing it. Among her favorite performances was the side-by-side concert with the South Dakota Symphony for Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony performance in 2022. Next year, Bunkers is excited to major in conservation biology and music at the University of South Dakota. She will miss the great friends she has made over the years with the Youth Orchestra.
