With a repertoire ranging from Bach to the music of our time, Emanuele Arciuli is a regular guest at the most prestigious international festivals and musical institutions, such as MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Bruckner Orchester Linz, Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Amici della Musica di Firenze, Music Biennale in Venezia, Wien Modern, Berliner Festwochen, RedCats in Los Angeles, Miami Piano Festival. He collaborates with conductors such as Roberto Abbado, John Axelrod, Andrei Boreyko, Dennis Russell Davies, Diego Fasolis, Delta David Geir, Wayne Marshall, James MacMillan, Juraj Valchua.
Recent noteworthy engagements include recitals at MITO Festival, at Bergamo and Brescia International Piano Festival, concerts in Albuquerque, Bologna, Milan, Palermo, New York, Santa Fe, the debuts in Canada (Quebec City and Montreal) and at the Fundacion Juan March in Madrid.
Among upcoming engagements, numerous recitals in Italy and USA with Frederic Rzewski’s “The people united will never be defeated”, concerts in Leipzig and Brno with MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dennis Russell Davies, a concert in Sioux Falls with South Dakota Symphony Orchestra conducted by Delta David Geir, the Italian premiere in Milan of “Luminary” by Narong Prangcharoen, the most influent Thai composer of present time.
At ease in the repertoire with orchestra, in recital and in chamber music, Emanuele Arciuli is considered one of the greatest interpreters of XX and XXI century music, with particular reference to American composers: more than fifty pages have been composed for him by composers such as George Crumb, Milton Babbitt, Frederic Rzewski, Michael Nyman, Michael Daugherty and John Luther Adams.
Many of his discography projects are also dedicated to American authors: among them, the acclaimed 'round Midnight - Homage to Thelonious Monk (Stradivarius), and Walk in Beauty (Innova Recording) a rich anthology of American music endorsed by a Grammy Award nomination, which followed the one already received for the CD dedicated to Crumb. Released in March 2023, The time curves preludes by William Duckworth (NEUMA) has been welcomed by the international critics.
In 2011, he was awarded the Italian music critics prize 'Franco Abbiati' as best soloist of the year.
His recent pamphlet Viaggio in America (Curci) is raising considerable interest, contributing to a deeper understanding of US music.
Emanuele Arciuli is principal piano professor at the Conservatorio "Piccinni" in Bari, he coordinates and teaches the two-year postgraduate course in contemporary piano at the Pinerolo Academy, and he is a guest professor at numerous universities
