Ben Ross is a Baltimore-based Baritone praised for using the world of contemporary classical music to tell new stories. Comfortable in a wide variety of genres, they have appeared with Bel Cantanti Opera, St, Pete Opera, Opera Baltimore, Opera Delaware, Annapolis Opera, Peabody Opera Theatre, Thompson Street Opera, Transgressive Opera Theatre, the Young Victorian Theatre Company, and The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company of Chicago.

They have appeared as a soloist with Bach in Baltimore (Handel, Israel in Egypt), the Peabody Symphony Orchestra (Mozart, Requiem), Southeastern Iowa Symphony Orchestra (Saint-Saëns, Requiem), and Fairfield Concert Association (Handel, Messiah).

They were previously a Brown-Loranger Fellow at SongFest, and have held apprenticeships with St. Pete Opera, the Janiec Opera Company at Brevard Music Center, the Opera Company of Middlebury, and Cedar Rapids Opera. Ben received their MM at the Peabody Institute with William Sharp and their undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa with Stephen Swanson.
