Jacqueline Lorber is the CEO / President of the South Florida Symphony Orchestra (SFSO). She is known as a dynamic, award-winning entrepreneur and results-oriented executive recognized for her collaborative business approach and fundraising expertise, skills which have led to the development of successful, multi-million-dollar enterprises.
To date, Jacqueline has raised over $40 million for nonprofits in South Florida. Among her greatest accomplishments is the growth of the South Florida Symphony Orchestra to over 50 concerts and events with a $2 million annual budget.
Jacqueline was recognized at the Outshine Film Festival for her contributions to the arts, has joined with other arts organizations to create “Culture Cares,” raising funds for Parkland High School victims, for the Bahamas Hurricane relief efforts, and other disasters. The SFSO has become a highly respected institution as evidenced by its recognition as ‘Partner in the Arts’ by the Broward’s Center’s Kelley Shanley due to its artistic excellence, alignment of mission, and commitment to education. In our 25th Season, the SFSO Masterworks series will be performed at the New World Center. In November 2022, Jacqueline and SFSO Music Director Sebrina Alfonso – also Jacqueline’s wife – were honored with an “Ally Award” by Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce GLBX.
SFSO has become an organization whose economic impact touches the lives of thousands of students, musicians, staff, venues, and advertisers each year. Clearly, the Symphony has been woven into the orchestral fabric of the region through Jacqueline’s strategic leadership.
