Arne Zeller, born in 2006, initially received instruction from Moritz Reutlinger and Daniel Geiss before joining the class of Prof. Peter Bruns at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig as a young student at the age of fourteen. He received valuable musical impulses through masterclasses with Ulrich Voss, Ivan Monighetti, Jens Peter Maintz, Jan Vogler, and Frans Helmerson.
He has already won numerous prizes in national and international competitions, including the first prize as the youngest participant at the international cello competition "Anna Kull" 2020 (Graz), a first prize at the Gustav Mahler Cello Competition 2022 (Prague), and the second prize at the 29th International Brahms Competition 2023 (Pörtschach).
At the age of thirteen, Arne Zeller made his debut as a soloist with the Sinfonietta Worms, followed by several performances with the Philharmonie Baden-Baden in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, he also performed as a soloist with the hr-Sinfonieorchester, the University Orchestra Mainz, and the Euro Symphony Orchestra (SFK). Since 2021, he has been a member of the international string ensemble LGT Young Soloists.
Arne Zeller is a scholarship holder of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the International Music Academy Liechtenstein. Additionally, he is supported by the Friends of Young Musicians Mainz-Wiesbaden e. V.
He plays a cello by Charles Maucotel "ex-Tortelier" (1850), generously lent to him by a member of the Stretton Society.
