Anita Williams is a Violist, Educator, and Arts Administrator based in Richmond, VA. She holds a BM in Viola performance from Shenandoah University where she studied under Doris Lederer. As a performer, she enjoys chamber music, premiering new works, and exploring music outside of the traditional classical music canon. Richmond performance highlights include partnerships with BaroqueRVA and the Central Virginia Masterworks Chorale, studio sessions with local independent artists, and “Blue Hour Sessions” with DC based band Foreign Air. Along with her administrative duties in the education department of the Richmond Symphony, Williams maintains a robust studio of violin and viola students, offering both private and group lessons. When not performing or teaching Anita can be found backpacking, rock climbing, and petting as many dogs as possible. She is thrilled to be returning to SSMT for her seventh season, and looks forward to another summer of live theatre in the Valley!
