Benjamin Aluwihare received a distinction in M.A. Acting from Drama Centre London as part of Central Saint Martins/University Arts London. Since then, he has performed in stage productions at London’s Lyric Hammersmith, Pleasance London, Waterloo East Theatre and Platform Theatre. He has worked with celebrated theatre companies such as Frantic Assembly, The Guildford Shakespeare Company and Edinburgh Footlights, and has toured regional U.K. theatres and festivals. Onscreen, he has acted in international TV productions for Netflix and Apple TV and a BFI short film, as well as commercials for global brands like Coca Cola, Samsung and Audible. Prior to his acting training, he received his M.A. Joint Hons. in Philosophy and Politics from the University of Edinburgh and was awarded his CELTA for teaching English as a foreign language from the University of Cambridge. As a qualified EFL teacher, he travelled to Sri Lanka to teach at The British School in Colombo. His teaching experience also includes privately tutoring English for examination year students with a focus on literature and classical texts. Beyond acting and teaching, he is a freelance copywriter, helping brands find their voice and reach their audience.
