Al Barclay went to Harrow School and Guildhall, and has worked in film and theatre for decades, collaborating with directors as varied as Stephen Fry, Luc Besson, Steven Soderbergh and Tim Carroll, to name but a few. His work on Shakespeare has taken him across Europe and the United Kingdom, and this will be his third tour with Actors From The London Stage (AFTLS), having played in Much Ado About Nothing and Twelfth Night previously. Other Shakespeare credits include Twelfth Night, The Tempest, As You Like It, The Comedy of Errors and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Sprite Productions, and Hamlet, The Odyssey, Macbeth, Julius Caesar and Cymbeline with The Factory. He recently played Lodovico in Othello for the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. He has been a regular face at The Globe for decades, providing bespoke Shakespearean entertainments for guests at The Swan, The Balcony Room and The Underglobe, alongside educational talks. When he has time, he teaches with Shakespeare Workout.
