Joanna Clarke is a London-based actor-singer and graduate from Arts Educational Schools and Cambridge University. She was part of the Actors From The London Stage (AFTLS) company of Hamlet, playing Ophelia / Laertes / Guildenstern / Bernardo / 2nd Player, which toured in early 2025, and has just finished performing The Tempest with The Whole Pack Theatre as Ferdinand / Sebastian / Stephano. In addition to leading Shakespeare-based workshops, Clarke works regularly as a presenter of school sessions and as a historical interpreter at Historic Royal Palaces with the company HistoryRiot. Previous theatre credit highlights include: Mimi/Gigi in Twins (Barons Court Theatre, London), Lady Winkle / Francesca Weasel in Roger McGough’s Money-Go-Round (Edinburgh Fringe Festival) Freyja / Unferth / Mother in Beowulf: The Viking Feast (St Helier Town Hall, Jersey), Cassie / Elliot in the verbatim musical Little Sausage (The Other Palace Studio, London), Anne Boleyn / Chorus in The Women (White Bear Theatre, London), Juliet / Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet and Macduff / Witch 2 / Witch 3 in Macbeth (tour with Guildford Shakespeare Company), and Addy in original digital musical Shift + Alt + Right (ALP Musicals). Other credits include Rose (lead) in the short film Untethered and Bonnie (supporting) in the short film Sidekick, voiceover for the theatre company Fable Feast, and voiceover for the podcast HappenedHere.
