Andrew Wood, from Raleigh, North Carolina, is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Performance at Shenandoah Conservatory, studying with the chair of the Keyboard Division Dr. John O’Conor. At Shenandoah, he is also pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English. Wood teaches at the Community Music School of the Piedmont in Upperville, serves as the pianist and pastoral assistant at Open Door UCC in downtown Winchester, and is a collaborative pianist for Shenandoah’s choral department. Winner of the VMTA Concerto Competition, he has appeared with the McLean Symphony, and routinely gives concerts around Virginia and North Carolina.
