Adan Sanchez is a junior music education major looking to earn a performance certificate. He began playing trumpet in fifth grade and continued until high school where he switched to French horn. With the French horn he earned a spot in the district honor band his junior and senior year. He also started a band with his classmate and performed a couple of shows under the name “Mortel.” However, he had dreamed of going to Shenandoah University (SU) for its acclaimed faculty in music education. Along the way he made the switch from French horn to trumpet again and has fallen in love with the high brass instrument. Currently, he has played in the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band and a brass quintet at SU.
