Darian Angel
Clarinet

Darian Angel is an aspiring clarinetist dedicated to artist collaboration and inspiring the next generation of musicians. Located in the D.C. area, Angel is currently enrolled at Shenandoah Conservatory and studies classical clarinet repertoire with esteemed professor Garrick Zoeter. In the next two days, he will have completed his Bachelor of Music in Performance and plans to continue his studies in pursuit of a master’s degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Since arriving at college, Angel has participated in many ensembles across campus, chamber groups, student-organized events, local gigs and competitions. Most recently, Angel won the Sidney Forrest Competition (2024) and was a national finalist in the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) conference (2024). Some of his favorite principal performances with the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra include Ginestera’s Variaciones concertantes and Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances.
