Andrew Wood is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance at Shenandoah Conservatory, studying with the Chair of the Keyboard Division and Professor of Piano, Dr. John O’Connor. From Raleigh, North Carolina, Wood received his International Baccalaureate Diploma in 2023, thereafter electing to take a gap year to extensively perform solo and chamber repertoire; teach piano, theory, and choir; and serve as a collaborative pianist for two high schools and the Raleigh Youth Choir on tour. Wood has won numerous competitions and honors in North Carolina, and has participated in summer festivals such as Krakow Piano Summer, New Orleans Piano Institute, Eastern Music Festival and Adamant Music School. He serves as the pianist and pastoral assistant to Open Door UCC in downtown Winchester, as well as the collaborative pianist for Shenandoah’s choral department.
