Kiara Batey is currently a junior at Shenandoah University and is doing her second year at Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre (SSMT). She is excited to be assistant costume designer for the first time at SSMT. She has been a part of several Shenandoah productions, including The Miser and Our Town. Batey finds interest in historical costuming and hopes to find a career working in textile conservation.
