Chance Beck is a Master of Fine Arts in Sound & Media Design student at the University of Tennessee–Knoxville. They have worked as both a designer and technician throughout their graduate and undergraduate training, with additional engineering experience in professional companies, including the Ohio Light Opera. Beck has been credited as the sound designer for You Can’t Take It with You, The Harvest and Failure: A Love Story with the Clarence Brown Company. They have also served as assistant sound designer for Tip-Toes and She Kills Monsters. Beck has served in a variety of technical positions, including A1, A2, electrician, sound board operator and stagehand, while enjoying the collaborative, hands-on aspects of live theatre.
