David Lécuyer

David Lecuyer was born in Montreal, Canada. He completed his bachelor’s in music performance at Sherbrooke University. David is passionate about all styles related to classical music, but especially fond of the German tradition. He began his master’s in music performance at Shenandoah University in August 2021 in the studio of the renowned professor John O’Conor. David has been a finalist of the Canadian Music Competition repeatedly. He also performed with the Sherbrooke Youth Symphony Orchestra after winning their concerto competition. Moreover, he was awarded many scholarships by Sherbrooke University as well as Shenandoah University. David regularly works with living composers, having recorded the premieres of works by Canadian composer Benoit Groulx. He currently holds the position of repetiteur for the Shenandoah Conservatory opera and works as a collaborative pianist for conservatory students. After completing his master’s degree, David intends to pursue his studies abroad.
