Similar to modern music, Wilford Webb & the Legend of the Discordia: A Storytelling Showcase tells a story with actors, music and a script. Wilford’s father left him to become a pirate when he was just a wee lad. His father had a ship called “The Discordia” that was known all around the world . . . to cause chaos. Wilford’s father Heywood and his ship were known to start wars, especially the infamous war between the pirates and the English. With Heywood’s passing, Wilford left home to find his father’s ship, bring her home and finally end the war. Unlike modern musicals, this performance is stripped down, reviving the ancient art of storytelling through song and word passed down from generation to generation.
This production includes gunshot effects and explores the topic of death.
