Lainey Griffin was born in Newport News, Virginia, where she began dancing at the age of two. Although originally from Yorktown, Virgnia, she currently resides in Winchester, Virginia, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Dance at Shenandoah University. While at Shenandoah she has performed works by Tiffanie Carson, Erica Helm, Natasha L. Davis and others. Lainey recently performed work by Dakota Matos at the American College Dance Association conference, where the work was chosen for the gala performance. Lainey has also spent her summers teaching all ages and a variety of styles.
