Amil Giunti (she/her) is a performer and choreographer from Chesterfield, Virginia. She started her training at Pilates Dance and More at the age of two where she learned tap, ballet and jazz. She then trained at the Latin Ballet Of Virginia for eleven years doing jazz, musical theater, ballet, hip hop, flamenco, capoeira, latin jazz, salsa, bachata, cha cha cha and afro caribbean. She played the lead role for four years in the annual Christmas show Legend of the Poinsettia. In 2021, she graduated from Thomas Dale High School Specialty Center for the Arts. In her time there she went to the Regional Governor's School Summer program at Radford University her sophomore year. Amil participated in her high school musicals such as Aida, Chicago and White Christmas and choreographed four of the dances in Little Shop of Horrors. She has worked with Miguel Perez, Maggie Smalls, Jelani Taylor, Tiffanie Carson, Cathy Davalos, Antonio Hidalgo, Kelly Hamlin and Krash Dance Company, as well as Deandra Clark with Studio 4 Dance Company. She is currently a first-year student at Shenandoah Conservatory working towards her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. In the summer after her first year she worked with choreographers Earl Mosley, Norbert De La Cruz ii, Alrick Thomas, Kevin Oyia, Ruddy Friars and Jade Bowen. Amil wants to travel the world to learn new dance styles and teach/choreograph. She is looking forward to exploring some of that at Shenandoah.
