Dane Frandsen hails from Hyattsville, Maryland, where he began studying flute with Rebecca Carey at the Levine School of Music. Frandsen is currently a senior at Shenandoah Conservatory studying in the flute studio of Julietta Curenton. While at Shenandoah, he has been a part of ensembles such as the Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, EDGE Ensemble and Flute Ensemble. He has worked in masterclasses with composers such as Roshanne Etezady and world debuted pieces by composers such as Jonathan Wyatt. He is also the secretary of the Shenandoah Conservatory Flute Club.
