Mr. Jamie Tucker has served as the director of bands at Millbrook High School since 2013. Prior to this position, Mr. Tucker served as an assistant director at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, Virginia, and at Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Mr. Tucker is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) and holds a bachelor's of music education. While at UNL, Mr. Tucker was a member of the university's Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Big Red Express Pep Band and the Cornhusker Marching Band.
In addition to performance experience in college, Mr. Tucker is an alumnus of the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, located in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Tucker spent five years marching with the Crossmen as a member of the hornline. Following aging-out from the Crossmen, Mr. Tucker went on to work with the Crossmen and Jersey Surf (New Jersey).
Mr. Tucker is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, VBODA and VMEA.
