Skyy Carter is a mezzo-soprano originally from Newport News, Virginia. She is currently in her first year at Shenandoah University pursuing her bachelor’s degree in voice performance with the help of Dr. Fotina Naumenko. She has performed in the Shenandoah Mozart’s scenes performance, produced by the student-lead club OPERAtunity, which included two scenes from Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro where she portrayed Cherubino. She is also participating in the Shenandoah University spring opera, A Midsummer Night's Dream, where she portrays a role as one of the fairies that serve Titania the fairy queen.
