Serenity Flores is a mezzo-soprano originally from Springfield, Virginia. She is currently in her junior year pursuing her Bachelor of Music degree at Shenandoah Conservatory, studying with Dr. Fotina Naumenko. Operatic appearances at Shenandoah include portraying Moth in Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Hannah Wiener in Philip Glass’s Hydrogen Jukebox. Previously, she portrayed Mother Marie in Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites. In addition to singing, Serenity is a skilled harpist and frequently performs with the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. She would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her as well as her amazing teachers for constantly encouraging her.
