A native of St. Mary's County, Maryland, Christopher Limjuco is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Conducting (Choral) degree at Shenandoah Conservatory under the direction of Dr. Richard W. Robbins. In May 2020, Limjuco graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in voice performance from Ave Maria University in Florida where he studied under Dr. Brice Gerlach and Dr. Taylor Ferranti. He was awarded the Eunice Leopold Scholarship and the Ave Maria University Music Scholarship to help fund his studies and won third place in the Tampa Bay Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition. After graduating, he began his career as a music teacher, conductor and music minister in the Central and Southwest Florida areas.
Limjuco has conducted ensembles such as the Ave Maria University Chamber Choir, Ave Maria Parish Choir, and Shenandoah University's Conservatory Choir. An accomplished baritone singer, he has also sung with the St. Mary's River Concert Series and Naples Philharmonic Choir and has experience in musical theater and opera, most notably John Brooke (Little Women), Warren Huntington III (Legally Blonde), Balthazar (Amahl and the Night Visitors), and Peter Quince (A Midsummer Night's Dream). He maintains an active membership with the American Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, and the Virginia Music Educators Association. He wants to thank Dr. Shaun Evans for the wealth of knowledge he has taught him over the course of the semester and for the challenge of conducting this talented ensemble.
