Sofia Stankiewicz is a junior voice performance major from Reading, Pennsylvania. She is in the studio of Dr. Fotina Naumenko and has been studying classical voice for ten years. Recent Opera credits include Mustardseed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Shenandoah Conservatory), Emmie in Albert Herring (Harrower Opera Workshop in Atlanta, Georgia), and Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte (Harrower Opera Workshop in Atlanta, Georgia).
She has received many awards and scholarships throughout the beginning stages of her career both in Pennsylvania and in the Shenandoah community. Stankiewicz was recently named the winner of the undergraduate Vocal/ Choral Division for the 2023/24 Student Soloists Competition at Shenandoah Conservatory and was a featured performer in the October 2023 Collaborative Arts Recital featuring faculty from Lyric Fest Philadelphia. Stankiewicz is a staff singer and section leader at Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville, Virginia, and soprano section leader and soloist in the Arts Chorale of Winchester. Currently, she is preparing for a solo performance with the symphony orchestra at Shenandoah Conservatory, prepping for her junior recital, and getting ready to perform Mozart’s Coronation Mass in Salzburg, Austria this June, for which she will be the soprano soloist.
