Henry's campaign in France

Henry V embarked on his campaign of conquest against the French in 1415, citing his claim to the French throne from his great-grandfather King Edward III on his mother's side. (See "Salic Law," below.) This was to prove but the next chapter in the long Anglo-French conflict known as the "Hundred Years' War."
