Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, Emanuel Singletary strives for excellence in performance and portraying human emotion through song and theater. He has had a remarkable performance career being in shows in the Bergen County area throughout high school and has since continued his performing journey at Shenandoah University. Some of his roles include The Defendant (Trial by Jury), Flute (Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Ensemble (Hydrogen Jukebox) and Everywhere (Back into the World), to name a few. He has performed the National Anthem for the New Jersey Representative Josh Gottheimer and has participated in the National Association of Teachers of Singing districts competition and placed first in his category (2023). He also was a semi-finalist in the George Shirley Vocal Competition. His hope is to accomplish combining opera and modern film so that the world embraces opera in a new light. Emanuel Singletary is currently an undergraduate student at Shenandoah University pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Performance – Voice degree.
