Mary Groesbeck is a coloratura/soubrette soprano from Winchester, Virginia. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music in Performance at Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia, studying under Dr. Fotina Naumenko. She is currently in her first opera as a chorus member in Dmitri Shostakovich’s Moscow, Cheryomushki. Previously she portrayed the roles of Chiffon in Alan Menken’s Little Shop of Horrors and Ti Moune in Stephen Flaherty’s Once on This Island at James Wood High. More recently, Mary participated in the Virginia 2024 NATS Competition where she received honors. In addition to singing, Mary loves gardening and embroidery.
