Serenity Flores is a mezzo-soprano originally from Springfield, Virginia. She is currently in her junior year pursuing her Bachelor of Music degree at Shenandoah Conservatory, studying with Dr. Fotina Naumenko. Operatic appearances at Shenandoah include portraying Amy Winehouse in an original production called Caged Birds, Moth in Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Hannah Wiener in Philip Glass’s Hydrogen Jukebox. Previously, she portrayed Mother Marie in Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites. In addition to singing, Serenity is a skilled harpist and frequently performs and tours with the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. Serenity is very excited to be a part of another main stage production as Milin as well as a chorus member and wants to thank her family, friends, and professors for always supporting her.
