From Houston, Texas, Gumaro received his bachelor's in music education from the University of Houston Moore's School of Music and his master's in trumpet performance from Morehead State University in Morehead Kentucky.

A former director of bands at Houston First Baptist Academy, Houston TX, and First Baptist Christian Academy Pasadena TX, Gumaro has also taught private lessons and masterclasses all around the greater Houston area.

His previous theater and performance experience includes Trumpet for the US Broadway National Tour of Little Women, Shenandoah Summer Music Theater, Cave Run Symphony orchestra, Pasadena Philharmonic, Clear Lake Symphony, Woodland Symphony, Cumbia and Tejano Latin bands Los Gavilanes de la Cumbia and Sandy G y los Gavilanes. Along with many churches chamber ensembles and regional theater work.
