Russell is a native of Strasburg, VA and first performed with SSMT as a member of the kids' ensemble. Favorite SSMT roles include Harold Hill in The Music Man (2015), the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance (2016), and Father in Ragtime (2019). Other credits include Los Angeles Opera, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, the national tour of the Broadway musical Amazing Grace, and several years as a Blue Man in the world-famous Blue Man Group. Russell is also a multi-instrumental musician, voiceover artist, and fight choreographer. He has a BA in Theatre and English from The College of William and Mary.
