Katelyn Garback
Dramaturg

Katelyn Garback is a third-year English major with minors in professional and popular writing and psychology. On campus, she is the Student Government Association (SGA) representative for the Writers’ Club, an editor for Avalon, a member of the newly established Sigma Tau Delta society, and a committee member of the Young Scholars Literary Symposium (YSLS). This fall she will also serve as a tutor in the Shenandoah University (SU) Writing Center. During her first year at SU,  Katelyn was awarded the Gabriella Miller First Year Student Award for embracing learning, enlivening the classroom experience, and being an overall shining star. Some of her favorite genres to read include young adult fiction, mystery, romance, memoirs, and nonfiction. Katelyn is dedicated to cultivating creative spaces where writers and artists can freely express themselves and collaborate with one another. In the future, she hopes to use her writing to connect with others and inspire them through her voice.
