Leonora Speyer (1872–1956) was an American poet and violinist. Trained in Brussels, Paris, and Leipzig, she performed professionally under renowned conductors Arthur Nikisch and Anton Seidl. After living in London with her husband, Sir Edgar Speyer, she moved to New York in 1915, where she turned to poetry. Her collection Fiddler’s Farewell earned her the 1927 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. Speyer’s life blended music and literature, making her a unique voice in American arts.
