Gary Brown
Acoustic Guitar, Vocals, Mandolin, Lap Steel, Steel Guitar, Dobro, Vocal Director

Gary's musical journey started early, inspired by his parents' passion for bluegrass. By 15, he was touring with the band "Boot Hill" from Winston-Salem, and after high school, Gary continued his studies at The University of Tennessee, where he met his wife, Martha. Together, they embarked on a decade-long musical adventure, performing far and wide in various bands.

In 1989, Gary and Martha settled down in Myrtle Beach and became proud original members of Calvin Gilmore's Dixie Jubilee. Today, at The Carolina Opry Theater, Gary dazzles audiences every night with his masteryof the acoustic guitar, mandolin, steel guitar, dobro, and vocals—all while serving as the vocal director. Offstage, however, you'll find him playing tennis!
