Ian Barford
Antonio Salieri

Ian Barford (Antonio Salieri) is a Steppenwolf Ensemble member. In 1989, he appeared in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM directed by ensemble member Rondi Reed. Since then he has originated roles in more than a dozen plays at Steppenwolf including the Pulitzer and TONY-winning play AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY by ensemble member Tracy Letts which also played at London's National Theater. He received a TONY nomination and Outer Critics award for his performance in LINDA VISTA, also by Tracy Letts. Also on Broadway, he was in the original company of the TONY winning play, THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHTTIME. Other Broadway credits include THE MINUTES and THE RISE AND FALL OF LITTLE VOICE (Outer Critics nomination). A few favorite Steppenwolf plays include:  THE LIBERTINE, THREE DAYS OF RAIN, AS I LAY DYING, BERLIN CIRCLE, LOVE SONG and ENDGAME. He most recently appeared at the Goodman theater in Harold Pinter's BETRAYAL directed by Susan Booth. Also at the Goodman, ALL THE RAGE and DESIGN FOR LIVING. In Los Angeles, he appeared at the Geffen Playhouse in THE WEIR, GOD'S MAN IN TEXAS and TAKE ME OUT and at the Ahmanson in DEAD END. Various film and TV credits.
