Celeste M. Cooper (Doll) was invited into Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s ensemble in 2018. Steppenwolf: BLKS, The Doppelgänger (an international farce), Familiar, A Doll’s House, Part 2, Duchess! Duchess! Duchess! (New York Times Critics’ pick). Chicago: Measure for Measure (Goodman Theatre), Stick Fly (Windy City Playhouse), Ruined (Eclipse Theatre). Regional: For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow is Enuf (Kansas City Repertory Theatre), Building the Wall (Curious Theatre Company), Mrs. Harrison (Indiana Repertory Theatre), What I Learned in Paris (South Coast Repertory). Television: Chicago PD, 4400, Sense8. Film: Chiraq, Range Runners. She can also currently be seen in a CDW and First Midwest Bank commercial.  Awards: Most Promising Actress (Black Theater Alliance); Best Actress - Range Runners (Twister Alley); Blues for an Alabama Sky (Court Theatre, Jeff Award - Best Production); NewCity Stage magazine listed her as “people who really perform for Chicago” in 2020. Education: BA, Tennessee State University; MFA, The Theatre School at DePaul University. She is represented by Paonessa Talent Agency.
